Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074 is Now Available

Yesterday Microsoft announced the availability of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074. In case you haven’t noticed I said Insider Preview, not Technical Preview. That’s right, as I like to say Microsoft is allergic to consistency in naming convention, Microsoft decided to change the name from Technical Preview to Insider Preview. This is still just another fancy way to say Windows 10 Beta. Frankly, the name change doesn’t really matter. What matters is what’s inside Windows 10 Insider Preview and Microsoft continues to do good job with the development of Windows 10. The following are 10 major updates available in this build.

4. New default Windows sounds
5. Visual refresh for Cortana
6. New experiences in Cortana
7. Updates for the Music and Video Preview apps
8. Xbox app April 2015 update
