Thanks for visiting my blog. My name is Zubair Alexander. I am a freelance virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO), a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), and the founder & CEO of SeattlePro Enterprises.
Background
On February 3, 2002, I created a website to serve as a teaching aid for my students. I posted my articles and class notes for them, so they can use it as a reference. By eliminating printing, not only I saved a few trees, I also save time because I didn’t have to print out the same handouts for each group of new students. Over the years, the website transformed into a blog with a much broader knowledge base of technical articles and other resources, serving the IT Pro community across the globe. My goal has always been to offer a knowledge base to my blog readers, generate some useful discussions, and to share my knowledge with the worldwide technical communities.
Blog Updates
I started my blog on November 1, 2004. During the same year, I received the annual Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) international award. I was honored with the MVP annual award for twelve consecutive years. Since 2004, I have updated my blog several times to provide many enhancements such as, making it mobile-friendly, responsive, a categorized listing of posts, and much better search functionality. In November 2017, I added the ability for readers to quickly translate my blog posts into one of more than 100 different languages using Google Translator. In 2020, based on readers’ request, I added the following buttons at the beginning of my post.
- The Listen to Post button gives readers the ability to listen to my posts, rather than reading it.
- The Print button lets the reader print my posts to a printer in a clean, customized format which includes the post’s title, URL, published date, categories, and other pertinent information.
My blog, which started as a single page with a link to some of my articles, is now visited regularly by people from over 190 countries and territories with several million hits each month. You will find the list of top 10 countries and top 10 U.S. states with most visitors in the left sidebar.
