The procedure I documented imports the POP3 account settings but not the signatures. Here&#8217;s the procedure you can use to either backup or import the signatures.<\/p>\n<p>Before you wipe your Outlook profile make sure that you backup your signatures by copying them from the APPDATA folder in your profile in Windows Explorer (called File Explorer in Windows 8\/8.1). Because APPDATA folder is a hidden\u00a0folder, you can simply use\u00a0the following in Start, Run box on Windows 7\/8\/XP to quickly get to the folder:<\/p>\n<p><strong>%APPDATA%\\Microsoft\\Signatures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Copy all the signatures files and the folders in the above folder to save them for future use. Don&#8217;t forget to back up all the associated folders. In addition, to the folders, there are three files for each email signature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An HTML Document (.htm)<\/li>\n<li>Rich Text File (.rtf)<\/li>\n<li>Text Document (.txt)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To import them on another computer, simply copy all the signature files and folders to the <strong>%APPDATA%\\Microsoft\\Signatures<\/strong> folder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update Old Signatures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Microsoft recommends that you update the signatures you&#8217;ve created in older versions of Outlook so that they use updated HTML code that uses cascading style sheets (CSS). This will ensure that you don&#8217;t experience any potential problems when switching or deleting signatures in a message. Here&#8217;s the procedure.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"cntIndent36\" start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li>In Outlook 2013 click the <b class=\"ui\">File<\/b> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click <b class=\"ui\">Options<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <b class=\"ui\">Mail<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Under the <b class=\"ui\">Compose messages<\/b> section, click <b class=\"ui\">Signatures<\/b>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/EmailSignatures.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/EmailSignatures-300x245.png\" alt=\"EmailSignatures\" width=\"300\" height=\"245\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/EmailSignatures-300x245.png 300w, https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/EmailSignatures-768x627.png 768w, https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/EmailSignatures.png 836w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the <b class=\"ui\">Signatures and Stationery<\/b> screen, select a signature in the <b class=\"ui\">Select signature to edit<\/b> list.<\/li>\n<li>Click anywhere in the <b class=\"ui\">Edit signature<\/b> box where your signature is, and then click <b class=\"ui\">Save<\/b>. If you don&#8217;t click in the Edit signature area your option to select Save will be grayed out.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat these steps for each signature.<\/li>\n<li>All your old signatures are now updated.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: xx-small; font-family: Verdana;\">Copyright \u00a92014 Zubair Alexander.
