You have a couple of options to save a site as a template if the site uses the publishing feature.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Use the following syntax to save a site as a template, even if it has the publishing feature turned on:<\/p>\n<p><em>http:\/\/site\/subsite\/_layouts\/savetmpl.aspx<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For example, <strong>http:\/\/www.contoso.com\/training\/_layouts\/_savetmpl.aspx<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Option 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Turn the publishing feature off. Go to Site Actions \u2013&gt; Site Settings \u2013&gt; Modify All Site Settings \u2013&gt; Site Administration \u2013&gt; Site Features. Deactivate SharePoint Server Publishing.<\/p>\n<p>2. Save the site as a template.<\/p>\n<p>3.
