{"id":107,"date":"2006-02-14T14:58:02","date_gmt":"2006-02-14T19:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/stage\/?p=107"},"modified":"2007-05-08T15:04:22","modified_gmt":"2007-05-08T20:04:22","slug":"client-computers-do-not-report-back-to-the-microsoft-wsus-20-server","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zubairalexander.com\/blog\/client-computers-do-not-report-back-to-the-microsoft-wsus-20-server\/","title":{"rendered":"Client Computers Do Not Report Back to the Microsoft WSUS 2.0 Server"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;ve run into a situation where client computers do not report back to the Microsoft Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) server and the following error messages are logged to the Windowsupdate.log file on the client computers:<\/p>\n<p><font FACE=\"courier\">DateTime<br \/>\nWARNING: Failed to upload events to the server with hr = 80244008.<\/p>\n<p>DateTime<br \/>\nWARNING: ReportEventBatch failure, error = 0x80244008, soap client error = 8, soap error code = 0, HTTP status code = 200<\/font><\/p>\n<p>This problem occurs because of an indexing issue in the WSUS database. This indexing issue causes a time-out error before client computers can report back to the WSUS server. There is a hotfix available from Microsoft. Check out the KB article <a HREF=\"http:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/?kbid=910847\" class=\"entrylink\">910847<\/a>.
